When to Use Fertility MassageFertility Massage Recommendations

The fertility massage may be considered an alternative treatment that is meant to boost fertility in women by stimulating the reproductive system organs. The fertility massage cannot be performed at all times during the month. There is a recommended timeframe to perform the massage, and you need to be aware of this. There are also a few contraindications when it comes to fertility massage.

Recommendations for Fertility Massage

The fertility massage may be applied when women face fertility problems due to unknown causes or issues of the reproductive system such as PCOS, endometriosis and blocked fallopian tubes. The fertility massage can increase the chances of getting pregnant by stimulating the reproductive organs and regulating ovulation.

Fertility massage will not have side effects, so it may be combined with other treatments that are used to boost fertility. However, let your fertility doctor know that you are considering using fertility massage as well.

The Best Time to Use Fertility Massage

The fertility massage should be applied during the time you are trying to conceive. However, the best time to perform it is only a few days in the month. Perform the massage after your menstrual period is over and before ovulation.

The massage may be performed anytime during the day, but may be more effective if applied 30 to 60 minutes before intercourse, as the massage increases the blood flow and there are higher chances that the sperm is implanted in the uterus.

Fertility massage specialists recommend you perform the massage at approximately the same time each day. Ideally, the massage should be performed on a daily basis, during the days the massage is recommended. However, for most women once or twice per week for the approximately three weeks between the end of menstruation and ovulation is effective.

When to Avoid Fertility Massage

The fertility massage shouldn’t be performed in a number of situations:

  • After the ovulation, each month, as the massage may affect the following period
  • If you are pregnant or may be pregnant
  • If you feel pain when pressing on your reproductive organs. You may have a medical problem that needs to be dealt with and the massage may make things worse
  • If you are lactating
  • During menstrual periods
